G6: GK Warriors too much for Elkton Blazers, 68 - 41

Report by Jun Rana

Tournament favorite GK Warriors vaunted firepower and balanced scoring proved too much for the Elkton Blazers and the demolition-duo of brothers Mario and Santini Lancioni. The Warriors whipped the hapless Blazers 68-41 to enter the second round of the playoffs and eliminated the Blazers. Four GK Warriors had double digits and combined for 49 points to top the efforts of Lancioni brothers who combined for 34 points.

Early in the first half, Leo Yanogacio, Ryan De Gracia and Ian Clemente lead a three man assault to put GK in a commanding 23-9 lead. It was a lead which they never relinquished. Yogi Veranga had 2 triples in the second half which helped the Warriors withstood the challenge of the Blazers.

As the game went beyond the reach of the Blazers, GK second unit players Dads Cardenio and Herb Monsalud contributed 5 and 4 points, respectively during the last five minutes of the game. Cardenio scored a triple to the delight of the GK fans.

gkw is indeed way too much and will be for any team down the road...a team will need the wizardry of coach K to disrupt the art of play of this team gkw...the way it looks like this team has a mission and will be hard to beat...even yanogacio has awaken and has fallen into the rhythm and that is not a good sign all the way to the finals for the next 3 opponents...i'm so sober

i can't wait for b-more dragons against GK. it would be like New York vs Baltimore. i think they have the same talent from starters to bench players. they drive atleast an hour from their respective places. it would be an exciting fight. b-more have vets, i think they will win. what do you think guys?

assuming anonymous that dragons will prevail over th force and then the Dynamics or Maricas then your wait is over. do not use think but rather use i see...i see that both teams have talent but not the same...driving at least an hour is an understatement to the GKW...i agree it could become an exciting game...b-more has vets (?) i could see that they can win (?)...What have you seen GAYS so far to make a conclusion?

i know that dragons were missing some players the 1st time gk slayed them but exactly how good are they. i honestly have not seen them play much so im curious. excel and phi combined to make a so called super team and they too failed so if dragons make finals vs gk will they offer us a good show. can they match up with gk from top to bottom please explain as i want to see someone challenge the warriors. also dragons may be vets because of age but what ive seen gk maybe young but are very seasoned.
