Will they prevail in changing the over-all and division standings?

anyone notice how much weaker the pilipino division teams are compared to the americano division?? power house teams such as GK, EXCEL-PHI, & TFC all in one division. Baltimore Dragons 0-2 would easily dominate any team in pilipino division.

last year the format was top 2 of each division went to playoffs to determine who goes to the finals..
say if gk and excel make it to the playoffs, will they play each other in the semis? Or will it be a cross division playoffs? If it's cross division then we might be looking at a GK - Excel finals. or if not cross division playoffs, gK or Red Bulls..

to those asking why the divisions are grouped that way, my 3 cents tell me that it was an attempt to balance the games. forget game 1 where there were blowouts just look at the coming games looks like they will be close fights.
agree that the dragons could have been 2-0 if they were in the Pilipino division. tough luck! they just have to make adjustments.
one team strikes me though is maricas who recenlty paraded 2 offensive players. maybe that's what they need to do good this season because the past years were a bit mediocre.

Here's how i figured Titans margins to get a slot at the playoffs. If they win by an average of 15 points per game that will be an additional 45 qpoints/divided by 2. Each 10 pt rise in q points is equal to a step up in the ladder board. They seem to be using FIBA computations this year instead of last year's format which is add up all winning margins and divide it by number of games.

3 of 6 not bad compared to my last prediction. The only one I notice is the TFC team.... after the big L to dragons no one from them was smiling. I guess it hurts a lot when you took your opponent slightly. Biggest winner is the TITANS. They played like Exit Realty stole thier dog and ate it. We have a new sheriff in town named Mario Lancioni of Elkton Blazers.

To TEAM GK: I love the spirit that you guys have by telling our supporters, how you plan to blow us out when we meet on JULY 11...quoting one of your respected players, "see that score up there 100-68(against the blazzers), that's what we are going to do to EXCEL!!!!" It's all good, i just hope that there will be no excuses post game...Team Excel will bite our tounges, and just wait until the ball goes up in the air on the 11th....just make sure you guys bring your "A" game, coz if you don't, the results might be the other way around...lol....

Hey Palaro Fan I agree with you! I remember last year some of the games used to be really packed. I think the reason is the scheduling of the games and even though volleyball is fun it might be the reason. Last season when the games were 1030 and 1130 teams from the late game would be there early and catch 1st game then wen the 2nd game started 1st game teams would stick around to see the competition. I know I've missed watching some games because of the hour gap. Still a great league just wish I could see more games

To Dynamic-PHI-Excel: As a big fan of the mighty GK Warriors, i can tell you that i really doubt that the players of GK will feel any pressure. They are very confident individuals and confident as a team. Your coach says its a big game for GK but in reality its a big game for your team. GK already proved they are the best team so far. Your team better step their game up when GK plays you guys because i don't want to hear YOUR excuses when you guys lose.
Plus GK Warriors got the Bull and the Stallion hahaha. All they need now is a Gazelle! haha

coach mike, if the asianballers.net website is all you can come up with taht's pretty weak. the clementes and leo's team (TLC) busted xiro's team at the asianballers.net national championships last year and if it wasnt for a lucky bankshot in the final4 against DLEast, TLC would have won. but you wouldn't know that... because your team doesn't get invited to tournaments that big. you're minor league. on july 11th, everyone will see that d-leaguers can't hang with the real deal. period.

Please make sure that the subject of your comments be kept just between your team and the opposing one, and don't ridicule other leagues by classifying them as minor leagues. The PAAD League, although not as high profile as the other leagues that GKW has joined, is a properly organized league whose main purpose is for clean fun and competition.
If you think GKW is way above this league, then better join other leagues where you think you'll get better competition.

I would like to give my warm appreciation to the 2009 PAAD Palaro Organizers and PAAD leaders for their amazing and successful league. Each and every year the level of competition is getting higher and higher (proof: 6 new teams. 5 teams from out of state). We will not achieve this without our PAAD leaders, organizers, supporters, and sponsors and of course the player’s extreme dedications.

To Coach Mike of Excel, thank you for reminding my team to bring our “A” game this coming July 11. I cannot control what GKW’s supporters write on our website blog or my players emotions and thoughts during and after the game. If they said or wrote anything that disappointed you, your players or supporters… I’m personally asking for your consideration for this matter. I will remind my players to play safe, smart and to make sure that our sportsmanship will over flow the court during our game. As long as GK Warriors play as a team……… whatever the outcome of the game, we will be victorious in our own way. Coach Mike, my players DON’T wakeup early in the morning and travel more than 6 hours per game and NOT play 100% in the court that I assure you….lol. Good luck on your team. COACH HERB: salamat naman to hear from a true support of the game, who i think has the same desire and passion with basketball as I do...I'm neither disappointed at you, your team or supporters....like i said the FORUM, is a great medium for entertainment...it gives some spice and fire off the court...To be honest with you, we are really excited and eager for the 11th...as you know that the composition of our team has changed, and each individual on our team wants a shot at the champs...we tried our best to form a team which will be able to compete at each position, so that hopefully we may given the chance to dethrone the champs...I highly respect your comment that we or lose you our victorious in your on way...we to feel regardless who we play against, SPORTSMANSHIP has always come first...can't wait until next week....Happy 4th to you and your family and to GK nation....
